Regardless of your faith, you cannot deny the occurrence of miracles. Even atheists would have to admit it. You can deny the possibility of something happening, but when it does occur, it becomes an undeniable fact.
What is miracle
Webster’s Dictionary defines miracle as ‘an extraordinary event manifesting divine intervention in human affairs’.
Cambridge Dictionary defines it as ‘an unusual and mysterious event that is thought to have been caused by a god because it does not follow the usual laws of nature‘.
Some deny the existence of God or the possibility of a divine intervention. For instance, some experts in the medical science might tell you that the chances of someone recovering from an ailment is zero. However, if such person recovers against all odds, they would say, “It is unbelievable, it is a miracle”. God works in miraculous ways. You cannot deny the occurrence of miracles. Consequently, when you admit the occurrence of miracle as a fact, you are subconsciously admitting the existence of God.
Occurrence of miracles transcend human comprehension
One thing about miracle is that, it is usually manifested in future occurrences that defy human understanding and knowledge. For instance, if we were in a rainy season, and I told you that it would rain tomorrow, you would probably have little or no doubt about it. But if we were in the middle of the Sahara desert and I told you that it would soon snow, you would probably think I was high. But then, if it snowed, it would be miraculous.
Because miracle is usually manifested in a future occurrence, it is somehow tied to faith. Faith, in ordinary terms, connotes strong believe or confidence in something. In religious parlance, it could mean a particular religion or believe in God.
Miracles could occur when all human endeavours have failed and all hopes are gone. If someone ever tells you that something is impossible, have faith and believe that through divine intervention, nothing is impossible. Believe in the occurrence of miracles and you will see the breaking of boundaries in miraculous ways that transcend human comprehension.
Wow. I do love the way you explained it. And it’s true. Miracles occur as a result of our faith for expected life
