Students from countries like Nigeria could be faced with the challenges of slow internet, expensive data subscription and low bandwidth. Other challenges that could jeopardize the use of the metaverse for learning are the problems of cyber fraud and identity theft.
I believe that the metaverse is a useful technology in distance learning. Its advantages, in the long run, will surpass its disadvantages. Educational institutions all over the world should begin to lead discussions that will foster a viable virtual world for the education industry.
