Stanley Okoro, another Nollywood Actor, dies

Nollywood mourns another of its own as the actor Stanley Okoro has been confirmed dead. Barely 48 hours after Richard Oganiru's death, Stanley Okoro, a young and talented man, who was well-known for his comic acts was reported dead, he died on the 11th of August 2021. Some reports given state that the cause of his death is currently unknown, however, he is suspected to have died of food poisoning. Actors who had worked closely with Stanley knew him by his nickname 'Rabbi O Rabbi', and the news of his death has been a shock to them and the Nollywood industry at large. His colleagues, friends and fans have taken to social media to mourn his demise. The Nigerian entertainment industry had lost up to 13 celebrities within a space of eight months, from January to August this year and in less than a month, Nollywood has lost 3 of its own. We all know that we have to die one day but the rate at which lives are being lost, especially in the Nigerian entertainment industry is worth questioning. May the gentle souls of Olanrewaju Abdul-Ganiu Fasasi (Sound Sultan),  Rachael Oniga, Richard Oganiru and Stanley Okoro rest in peace. Amen.
