So, if you treat your day like the meeting and your mornings like the prep time for the meeting, how productive do you think it will be? That's right! Very productive!

The first step towards achieving a productive day is to wake up early

Say you have a 9-5 job, which means that you have to be at work at 9 am every day. Also, let's say, it takes you an hour to drive from your house to your place of work, it means that you have to leave on or before 8 am, if you want to arrive in good time.

To meet up with that time, it means that you should start preparing for work, at least 1 hour before 8 am. Now, imagine waking up at 7: 30 am. Do you know what that means? It means that even if you manage to get to the office in time, you'd likely end up having a rough day. And that's because you started everything about that day in a rush.

What's the point of that example? When you do things in a rush, you won't have a productive day because you've failed to plan one.

To avoid this, however, it is important to wake up early enough to plan your day. You should also take certain activities that can help boost productivity.

So, start right by waking up early.

2.Take care of your mind

Your mind is where you're going to get all the ideas for the day. You're going to store up information and take from your reserve as well to achieve anything meaningful. So, how about taking care of it?

You can read, meditate, write or practise journaling, etc. Doing any of these activities will help develop your mind, and with a developed mind, you can start thinking better, proffering helpful tips or solutions to the problems around you, reduce stress, and also improve your emotions positively.

These chemicals help to boost your mood and overall sense of well being. As a result, you get to enjoy both the physical and psychological benefits of exercising.

4. The fourth routine is to set a plan for the day

Imagine building a house without a plan, that's exactly what we do when we set out for the day without a plan.

You've probably heard it over and over again, about the need to create a to-do list. Well, no one will keep mentioning it if they didn't think it was paramount for a productive day.

Planning your day early in the morning helps you establish your priorities, prevent distractions and improve productivity.
